Size and select HVAC equipment — air handling units, unit heaters, exhaust fans, duct heaters, hot water boilers, expansion tanks and glycol systems — for institutional and commercial projects, to ASHRAE 62.1/90.1 and NBC.

Run ESP, pump head, heat loss, infiltration and thermal expansion calculations, with psychrometric and HAP analysis to confirm performance against design-day conditions. Deliver construction-ready Revit models and drawing packages, resolving MEP clashes through 3D coordination across mechanical, electrical, structural and architectural disciplines. Manage CCNs and RFIs, review shop drawings and submittals, and prepare cost estimates and equipment schedules.

Structures & Inspection Engineer

Inspected steel bridges and overhead sign structures — visual weld inspection, ultrasonic thickness testing, and corrosion and section-loss assessment to code. Assessed fastener integrity, bolted connections, bearings, expansion joints, coating condition and concrete defects, and recommended repairs based on deterioration and failure analysis.

Built Excel VBA tools that digitised data collection and automated condition reporting for 350+ overhead sign structures, removing over 100 hours of manual data entry a year. Served as on-site lead for streetscape and bridge rehabilitation works, and prepared technical memos and condition assessments under P.Eng. supervision.
